About

The beer you drink at Gulf Brew helps employ musicians and artists, introduce arts into the local schools and support a first class visual arts exhibition series. Founded in 1975, the Acadiana Arts Council exists to create, facilitate, nurture and fund arts and cultural activities to enrich quality of life and place in Acadiana. Our award-winning regional programming and services include Arts in Education, which provides curriculum-based arts activities for schoolchildren, Louisiana Crossroads, which is a top-caliber concert series, and an exhibition series of meaningful collections from around the corner and across the globe. The Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette is managed by the Acadiana Arts Council and has been opened to the public since 2004. And remember EVERY DROP HELPS!

Louisiana Crossroads is a concert series and economic development initiative of the Acadiana Arts Council and the Lafayette Economic Development Authority. Over the years theyhave worked with many partners to assist artists, individuals, businesses and non-profits in this region in efforts to further develop the cultural economy infrastructure. The Acadiana Arts Council employs a professional curator to organize annual exhibition series that feature artwork from all over the world, including the South Louisiana region we call home. Through these exhibits, an appreciation for fine art is being established and nurtured throughout Acadiana. The Arts in Education program strives to make quality arts-in-education opportunities available to administrators, educators and students through performance, hands-on arts experiences, professional development training in the arts and project funding. These co-curricular arts-in-education offerings are available to students in grades K-12.
